Another CD Sleeve Mini

Can you believe it...Another CD Sleeve Mini and it only took me two hours.  These minis are addictive.  I wanted to make this one Red/White/Blue for the upcoming July 4th holiday.  It's got interactive pages for additional photos also.  I thought it would be only perfect to use my last pages and scraps of Authentique Glory paper pad since that's where we were directed for the tutorial.  The embellishments are K & Company.

Altered CD Sleeves Mini

After taking my cat nap I was ready to craft. There was no Friday Night Chat on Scraps of  Color so I was going through withdrawals.  Also somehow I missed the CD Sleeves Mini album swap at SOC.  Adriana was the host and she posted a mini.....WOW was I inspired.  If you know me, you know I absolutely LOVE making mini albums.  This one was super easy and Adriana gave props to  Authentique easy tutorial.  For some reason with the measurements, I only used four CD sleeves instead of five.  This is what I started last night and finished this morning using one of my favorite DCWV paper stacks Mariposa.

Here's a side view and the CD cases I used.
Now I'm going to grab another paper stack and some CD sleeves.  Let the creativity begin......................!

With God All Things Are Possible

I can't stop making these 6x6 plaques after doing so many for Vacation Bible School.  This is sweet little Phoebe of Robert Jackson Digital Images.  This post was inspired by Scrapping Everyday Miracles.  Their June Challenge is 'Each Day is A Gift'.   I still hold those fond memories and quality time with my MaDear.  If only the children of today would spend time with their dear ones and hold on to the wisdom they teach and show, we would have a better world.  This is just one of the memories that remind me of her and my Papa...teaching me to know God for myself.  The gift of Salvation. When I saw Flying Unicorn's Mojo Monday Sketch, the creativity took me away.  Tell me what you think!

Friday Night Chat 6.20.14

Our hostess at Scraps of Color, Mazella, had double duty.  She was attending the Texas girls of SOC Retreat in Kountze, TX at Stone Creek Lodge and Scraps of Color Friday Nite Chat hostess.  We had three challenges along with the theme project "Sew Lovely".  Our challenge for the project was to use kraft paper, embossing, stitching and a sentiment.  We have until Sunday at midnight to complete, but when I woke up after what was supposed to be a nap so I could chat a while...It was 2:00am  LOL.  After looking at my craft table, this was my creation.  Sentiment and title is '"The best time 2 create -  SOC FNC".  Now off to our three challenges. I've had the Making Memories metal clock for years.

One thing I love is that it allows you to be creative and I love using my stash.  The first 30 minute challenge was to make a summer card with 2 to 5 flowers. Use buttons and bling to accent your flowers.  I very seldom use my embossing folders.
Entering in Creative Knockouts - Embossing

The second 30 minute challenge was to use sewing stamps as the focal image, colors the stamped image and add pearls or bling.  Well 45 minutes was given for this challenge.  I got a chance to use my stamps from Crafty Secrets that I won from a challenge.  I'll be playing with them a bit more.

The third 30 minute challenge was to use a dress form as the focal image. Embellish with buttons and bows. I LOVE playing with dress forms.  It takes me back to my childhood days LOL.  This die cut is from Stampin Up. Now I'm sure you can understand when I say we had  "SEW" much fun!

Man Oh Man

This card was inspired by Daring Cardmakers challenge, Man Oh Man Shape card. The dare was to use a 2 and 1 on the card.  Have you guessed by now that it's a fish bowl card? I took a sheet of vellum and acetate and used my Creative Memories circle cutter to shape the bowl and then I cut a 1/2 inch slits for the top.  A string of cord was wrapped around the front of the vellum and acetate page.  JoLee fish stickers are on the vellum.

On the inside to make it stand firm I placed a kraft sheet the shape of the bowl and added stickers.  I found a water wave Creative Memories ruler and inked it on the background.  Pieces of burlap was  added to the bottom of the card. Not sure where i got the inside stickers. I enjoyed making this card.

Happy Fathers Day Dada

It's my brother Pat's first Father's Day.  His son now 10 months sings Dada.  While I was using DCWV Baby Boy Bebe Garcon Nene stack for my VBS door signs, I decided to use some scraps for his card. A onesie from one of the sheets was cute out for the inside. I couldn't find a Father's Day sentiment so I used my own handwriting.

SOC Friday Night Chat

What an Amazing Road Trip we had at Vacation Bible School this week.  I was disappointed that I was SO excited about the door signs I forgot to take photos of the rest of them.  The total made was 45 for the children.  Now I have to make them for the adults.  Well onto my next project I would like to share.  This was made during Scraps of Color Friday Night Chat.  Yes I returned home from VBS and was all wired up.  I joined in challenge 3.  The instructions were to use red/white/blue, at least one star and the word Celebrate.  LOL  See how tired I was...I used Congratulations.   This card was inspired by Crafts 4 Eternity sketch.

VBS - The Amazing Road Trip

We are having Vacation Bible School this week and I'm making hanging signs as prizes for the students to 'Go Fish'.  The game is SO encouraging.  When the children bring a friend Tuesday - Friday they have the opportunity to 'Go Fish' for a prize.  My goal is to make 20 for the week, although I've already gone past that number. It started with my Design Team post for Scraps of Color E:Spire.  I'm using a scripture and part of a hymn from one of our church programs on each sign.  They are all different and unique using my scraps covering a 6x6 corrugated board.  I'll be posting five each day.  Hope you stop by.

This one is featured on my Design Team blog.

Scraps of Color is challenging us to blog 'Summer Fun'!  I'm going to keep making them until the end of the week, because I want every child to have one for the memory of Vacation Bible School.
