Canvas Sign

On my Craft to do list was another canvas sign like the one you see on the right side of my blog.  It was gifted to my fellow crafter Rhoda.  It went so well in her craft room, which looks like a beach house or tropical escape.  My craft room is red/white/black and I wanted to incorporate those colors.  Of course I had to include 'My Scrapbook Prayer' that I wrote in 2008 on the road home after leaving a Scrapbook Extravaganza in Little Rock, AR.   Here's the canvas with a few close ups.  Everything is from my stash.

TD Jakes

Scraps of Color  has a Guest Host relay challenge and my printer wasn't working so I only got a chance to complete the first one, which was TD Jakes.  Robert Jackson is an amazing artist and I've been printing digital images like crazy lol.   The challenge was to use a double mat and scripture.  Can't you just hear him preach the Word?!!

95 and counting

This mixed media canvas was gifted to my Auntie Granny.  She's 95 years old still living independently and doing well. Auntie Granny is on the Mother Board at church and loves her hats.  She's known for her preserves, cakes and chow chow. We celebrated with a birthday party on Easter weekend and hope we can keep counting to age 100!  I used a watercolor palette from Michaels.  Love the purple!

Happy Resurrection Weekend

It's been a while.  I'm finally back to crafting after revamping rooms in my home.  No more sharing my craft studio with my guest bedroom.  It's two separate rooms now and I am loving it.  This card is my first project to make.   Bringing you sweet little Phoebe of Robert Jackson digitals.  Phoebe is dressed for Sunday worship with a powerful message, "Because He Lives!".

It's in the Song

This post was inspired by the song Everlasting Love by Carl Carlton.  The digital is by Robert Jackson and it was fun playing over at Embrace Your Art with Mary Joyce for the 'It's in the Song' challenge.  The stamp is a Bible Journaling sentiment by American Crafts.

Penguin Love

You must agree these are the most adorable penguins.  I used a variety of products with this card.  The penguin stamp set is by Stampendous using Spectrum Noir markers.  The Sizzix framelit step up card was the perfect way to create my scenery. Martha Stewart snow flake punch is the embellishment you can't see on the first photo. I sprinkled a little Stickles on them to make them pop. I can't believe it took me three hours to create the card, but I'm pleased with it.

MOJO Monday to the rescue!

Wow what a busy holiday season and it was truly hard to get back into the craft of things.  After decorating 12 Christmas trees and decors and a week with my nephew I needed a couple of weeks to recuperate.  Oh what fun!!  I LOVE the holiday season and now since the New Year has come, it's time to get back into cards and layouts.  Yes I said layouts.  My nephew was disappointed his album was not updated.  I started with my first card of the year thanks to MOJO Monday.
